Of the blessings of Allah the Exalted.
O Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi,
Your character is a reflection of Divine Light.


He inspired us to drink
From the wine of the Prophet’s love.
Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi
Is a tavern for the drinkers.


Springs in the African desert
Are gushing with his wisdom.
Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi
Is like the morning breeze.


The valley of Kufr is trembling
In the face of your dignity.
Oh Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi,
You are the sword of the Deen
And the Lion of Allah.


Oh my friend! Tell me who lit
The candle of Iman in darkness of Kufr?
Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi did –
He is a shining star.


Gatherings of knowledge
And springs of dhikr and hadra.
Gushed forth from you,
Oh Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi.


We are lovers of Walis and
Devotees of Ibn Habib and Al-Fayturi.
You are the expert guide
With whom we are blessed,
Oh Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi.


My beloveds! The Fuqara are a colourful manifestation
Of the Qadiri, Shadhili and Darqawi Tariqa.
And at its head is our spiritual leader,
Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi.


Precious treasure for the believers
And thunder for foes:
Your books and commentaries,
Oh Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi!


His attributes and distinctions
Are too numerous to describe, Oh Ahmed Afroz!
Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi
